How we make money

No Scam Left Behind is free. The quiz, the checklists, and our articles cost nothing, and you never need an account. Some links on our NSLB Picks page are affiliate links, marked "paid link," so we may earn a commission when you buy through them. TODO: confirm "at no extra cost to you" for each program before adding it.

Which links pay

We'll list the programs we belong to by name once we've been approved. PLACEHOLDER: no affiliate program has been approved yet, so the paid links on the Picks page are placeholders. Many of our Picks pay us nothing, including the free credit freezes at the three bureaus, Have I Been Pwned, Brave, Mullvad Browser, Bitwarden, and every free option we list. We never publish commission amounts.

What commissions never affect

• Quiz scoring, credit, question weights, and tiers, including NSLB Champion and NSLB Hero.
• The order of your checklists, and how we rank our Picks.
• Free options: they earn full credit up to NSLB Champion. Some Hero-level credit may need paid gear of any brand.

Some Hero-level practices cost money. We may earn a commission if you use our paid links elsewhere on the site, but your quiz score and tiers—including Champion and Hero—never change based on those links. Free full-credit routes remain for Champion; Hero credits any brand, not just our picks.

Where paid links appear

Only on the NSLB Picks page. There are none on the quiz results page, in checklists, in printables, or in emails.

Material connections

If we ever get a free product or account, we'll say so. "Tool we use" means real use, not a structured test.
